support our Restorative justice "Jesus the Risen prisoner" and "Power of Healing" programs
JRJI currently facilitates our Restorative Justice "Jesus the Risen Prisoner" Retreat Program at Calipatria State Prison, Ironwood State Prison, Kern Valley Sate Prison and High Desert State Prison once a month. Our retreat program guides and assists inmates as they experience self-awareness, empathy and healing. In many cases, this process is transformative as the inmates gain a sense of hope that their lives will not be meaningless, and they can accomplish good, even behind bars. We have witnessed inmates restore relationships with their families and victims of crime through spiritual exercises and education. In addition to the prisons mentioned above, we also facilitate this program at Corcoran State Prison/CSATF, California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, California Institution for Men and California Institution for Women in Chino, RJ Donovan State Prison and Pelican Bay State Prison throughout the year. In recent years, JRJI helped initiate and coordinate restorative justice retreats in Seattle, Washington and St. Louis, Missouri.
This past year, we have collaborated with the University of San Francisco (USF) in certifying completion of a Power of Healing semester-long course, in which participants learn how to cope with their surroundings, heal broken relationships with families and friends, and seek forgiveness. Successful completion of this course results in a certificate endorsed by JRJI and USF.
If you would like to be a part of the life-changing journey many have embarked on, please donate today.
